SAP Data Architect

We’re looking for a SAP Data Architect who’s passionate about turning complex SAP data into clear, business-ready insights. You’ll be the link between SAP processes and modern data models, taking ownership of our semantic layer (dbt on ClickHouse) and shaping how financial, supply chain, and procurement data come to life in our platform.

In this role, your models won’t sit in the background – they’ll directly drive alerts, cases, and customer-facing insights. You’ll also get to leverage the latest AI tools to make data modeling smarter, faster, and easier to maintain.

About The Role

  • Own and manage the semantic data layer (dbt models in ClickHouse).
  • Translate SAP/ERP processes into semantic data models and business-ready objects.
  • Write, review and optimize SQL queries powering alerts, business logic, and product insights.
  • Partner with analysts to turn customer feedback into holistic data models.
  • Collaborate with SAP experts to understand source objects, tables, and data flows.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and business relevance across all layers.
  • Work with Data Engineers to align on standards while keeping focus on business semantics.

Your Experience & Skills

  • 6+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, SAP BW/BI Development, or Data Modeling.
  • Strong SQL skills (complex queries, performance optimization, code review).
  • Proven expertise in SAP BW/BI concepts: data modeling, ETL/extractors, InfoProviders, DSOs, CompositeProviders.
  • Hands-on experience with dbt (or similar frameworks such as Dataform, Airflow and SQL Scripts).
  • Good understanding of SAP systems (ideally FI/CO/MM/SD) or strong ability to ramp up quickly.
  • Familiarity with financial, supply chain, or procurement data.
  • Experience with modern columnar data warehouses (ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
  • Ability to connect business processes to data models.
  • Exposure to data lineage, governance, or metadata management tools is a plus.( such as openMetaData).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexibility to support Analyst-type tasks when needed.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
